Océano VIP
Océano greatly values the loyalty that our customers have expressed during the past seven years and would like to thank you! As a way of showing our appreciation, we have developed a discount program named Océano VIP’s. The Océano VIP’s discount program is pretty straightforward and is based on, the more you rent through Océano, the more you save. Following are the three ways you can save by increasing your discount:

Receive a 2% cumulative discount for all of the following:

  1. Rollover your deposit to any future stay.*
  2. Make a reservation with an arrival date within eleven (11) months (336 days) of the previous arrival date.
  3. Discounts apply to additional properties rented for the same time period.

These discounts are cumulative and you can save as much as 10% off your rent. For many of you that use our rental services three or more times per year, you can actually save 10% on all of your reservations. Discounts can be applied to existing reservations made on or before December 1, 2003. Like all discount programs, there are restrictions; please see the ‘Restrictions’ section below.

Since this is new to all of us, and to help you determine what your discount would be, we have typed up several scenarios and posted them below. We have attempted to take all scenarios into account, but if we have overlooked a particular situation, we reserve the right to the interpretation of the discount.

Restrictions:

  1. These discounts cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts or specials.
  2. Reservation(s) must be in your name; you must be present at check-in and staying at the property throughout the reservation.
  3. Our system does not automatically make the discounts, so it will be necessary for you to tell us that a discount applies. We will be able to verify your discount on our end.
  4. When renting multiple properties, all properties must have nightly rates within $200 of each other.
  5. If part of a wedding or large group, the wedding party or group name must be given when making the reservation.
  6. The maximum discount available is 10%.
  7. Holiday stays are included but have a maximum discount of 6%.
  8. Minimum stays must be met and are subject to change.
  9. Normal cancellation policies apply.**
  10. We have attempted to define all scenarios but if your particular scenario is different than those that we have taken into consideration, we will be fair, but the interpretation of the discount is at the discretion of Océano.

*Rollover: A rollover is the term we give to those who carry their security deposit from one reservation to the next. A rollover occurs prior to Océano writing and mailing back your deposit, which usually occurs 7-10 days after departure. If paying by credit card, please make your new reservation within 10 days of your departure.

**Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made two (2) or more weeks prior to scheduled arrival will be charged $50.00 or 20%, whichever is more; for cancellations made thirteen (13) to six (6) days prior to scheduled arrival, the Security Deposit will be forfeited. If cancellation is made in less than six (6) days prior to scheduled arrival, all rental monies, excluding Security Deposit and cleaning fee, will be forfeited. No refunds will be given for holiday time periods.

Scenario 1. Mr. Smith stays with Océano and arrives on January 7, 2004. During check-out, Mr. Smith makes a reservation and rolls over his deposit to a new reservation with an arrival date of January 4, 2005. Mr. Smith will receive a discount of 2% off the total rent.

Scenario 2. Mr. Smith stays with Océano and arrives on January 7, 2004. During check-out, Mr. Smith makes a reservation and rolls over his deposit to a new reservation with an arrival date of January 1, 2005. Mr. Smith will receive a discount of 4% off the total rent.

Scenario 3. Mr. Smith stays with Océano and arrives on January 7, 2004. During check-out, Mr. Smith makes a reservation and rolls over his deposit to a new reservation with an arrival date of January 1, 2005. Mr. Smith will receive a discount of 4% off the total rent. Three weeks later, Mr. Smith decides he is going to go to Rocky Point for a few days in June 2004. Mr. Smith will receive a discount of 4% for his June 2004 stay and 6% for his January 2005 stay. Since Mr. Smith loves Rocky Point so much, he makes another reservation for October 2004. Mr. Smith will then receive a 6% discount for his October 2004 stay and 8% for his January 2005 stay.

Scenario 4. Mr. Smith stays with Océano and arrives on January 7, 2004. During check-out, Mr. Smith makes a reservation and rolls over his deposit to a new reservation with an arrival date of January 1, 2005. 3 months later, Mr. Smith calls Océano and says that he is bringing his whole family and will need 3 more properties for the same dates. Mr. Smith will receive a discount of 4% for the original reservation, plus another 6% discount for the extra 3 properties (3 x 2%). In addition, Mr. Smith will receive a 6% discount off the each of the other 3 properties. In other words, Mr. Smith will save 10% off the original reservation and 6% off the other 3 reservations.

Scenario 5. Mrs. Jones is coordinating the annual trip for her book club and reserves 3 properties. Mrs. Jones, will receive a 6% discount (3 x 2%) for each of the reservations.

Scenario 6. Mrs. Jones is coordinating the annual trip for her book club and reserves 6 properties. Mrs. Jones, will receive a 10% discount for all 6 of the reservations. Even though Mrs. Jones reserved 6 properties, she will not save 12% (6 x 2%) because the maximum discount is 10%.
